Church Mission Society

St Frumentius’ Theological College (SFTC) is a Gambella-based theological college of the Anglican Church in Ethiopia. It is an affiliated college of the Alexandria School of Theology in Egypt. Since it opened in 2015, SFTC has been helping to train leaders for church communities from Ethiopia, South Sudan and Sudan.

In recent decades, Gambella has received hundreds of thousands of refugees from South Sudan and this—along with several other factors—has led to an acute shortage of trained church leaders in the region. SFTC was opened in 2015 in response to the desire—on the part of local churches and clergy—for church leaders to be trained to be better preachers and teachers, better leaders of worship and better organizers of their church communities.

Role description:

An individual who could teach modules to Diploma and Degree level students in any of the following areas: Biblical Studies; Church History; Systematic Theology; Practical Theology; English Language.

An individual wishing to join the Faculty long-term would need a Masters qualification in theology or a related subject; an individual wishing to come for a shorter period (3-months) would preferably have at least a degree in theology or a related discipline.

Please mention OSCAR when responding.
