Evangelist Outreach Worker for Immigrant Communities

European Christian Mission

We're looking for team members to be involved with two immigrant groups, doing personal evangelism and discipleship, social action, and leadership development.

Two small immigrant groups have developed, one in the Nepali language, meeting in the city centre, the other in Punjabi language, meeting in the northern suburbs of Lisbon. Together they are seeking to form a South Asian outreach community. The potential for ministry among these small but growing groups is for personal evangelism and discipleship, development of social action initiatives, and long term leadership development.

You would need an outgoing personality, flexibility and readiness to take initiative. Languages needed - English and Portuguese (or a willingness to learn). This placement would ideally suit someone who has already had broad experience of mission work in South Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal) or of outreach work to immigrant communities in their own country. A basic knowledge of Nepali or Urdu/Punjabi or other South Asian languages would be desirable.
