Evangelist among pilgrims
Over 350,000 pilgrims walk the Camino (The Way) for about 2 weeks each year through Santiago de Compostela, claimed to be the burial site of Saint James. The vast majority walk it from April-October which is an ideal time to come and walk alongside them, sharing the gospel through art, music, and conversations. This is an opportunity to work alongside various types of mission work: teaching English, student work, artwork, working with children and prayer walking. After an orientation and initial training, walk the Carmino for several days or weeks while evangelising, and then share and be debriefed, and investigate further opportunities to serve here. Throughout the year the WEC team serve in various Christian hostels doing maintenance and construction, so those with handy skills are welcome to join us.
Commitment 1-3 months. This position is unsalaried, as all WEC personnel look to God to provide their personal needs. WEC ref 10259
