Mission Africa

Mission Africa was founded 130 years ago as the Qua Iboe Mission with the goal of ‘bringing the Good News of Jesus to the people of Africa’. This founding ethos remains as strong as ever. Mission Africa remains committed to pioneering evangelism among people yet to be reached with the Gospel. We believe that the word of God can transform lives and renew hearts. Evangelism remains at the core of what we do.

We also have a strong vision for the future growth of the church in Africa. As a result, Mission Africa is committed to providing high quality, doctrinally sound, theological education, which strengthens the church of today and builds the church of tomorrow. We also work to provide quality Christian literature to pastors and Bible colleges.

In addition, we have a long tradition of demonstrating the love of Christ through medical and compassionate ministries. In many cases, this was the original point of contact between our missionaries and the local people. Today, we engage in a more supportive role, as the local church has taken on responsibility for many of these programmes and institutions. However, we still aim to send qualified personnel whenever possible.
